Belarus Win Month of November
Belarus won the month of November in the 2017 Global Cup, the annual ranking of the world's best sporting nations. They scored 120 points after coming second at the Trampoline World Championships and reaching the final of the Federation Cup in Tennis.
The USA came second with 113 points after winning the Federation Cup, reaching the quarter finals of the Tennis Davis Cup and also scoring points at the ATP Tour Finals (Tennis) and the New York Marathon.
China finished third with 100 points after winning the Trampoline World Championships.
Kenya (who won the New York Marathon), France (Tennis Davis Cup winners), Belgium (Tennis Davis Cup runners-up), Japan, Russia, Ethiopia and Switzerland rounded out the Top Ten for the month.
While November’s results consolidate the USA’s lead at the top of the year-to-date Global Cup rankings, they also represent another crucial step forward for France which is locked in a battle for second place with Russia. With France scoring 26 more points than Russia in November, it has now moved to within 60 points of Russia in second place. With only one month to go to the final year end rankings, it will be a very tight finish to the very end!
