The basketball Olympics is one of the most anticipated sports tournaments every four years.
The 2024 Olympics is scheduled to be held in the summer of 2024 in Paris, France.
As 2024 nears, the top basketball nations are gearing up to be amongst the competing teams in Paris. The qualification season is starting in September, and that’ll tell the teams that’ll be going to Paris.

Throughout the history of the basketball Olympics, the United States’ NBA has always emerged as one of the main talent providers. The NBA is gearing up for even more success at the 2024 Olympics.
Among the top NBA players, there are talents from a large number of countries, in addition to the USA of course. So who are these top NBA players expected to influence the outcome of the 2024 Paris Olympics? As the NBA returns this September, we’ve made a possible list of players expected to have the most impact on the season’s result.

1.     Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece)
Giannis is one of the NBA’s top players and has consistently improved his game for every season he has been a part of the league. Some of the many things that make him stand out are his size, speed, and his skills. He’s the first NBA player that has back-to-back games with at least 40 points, ten rebounds, five assists, and 60.0% shooting since Wilt Chamberlain. Interestingly, he has influenced several college basketball picks against the spread.

2.     Luka Doncic (Slovenia)
One of the main things that make Luka stand out as a top NBA player is his skill set and incredible basketball IQ. Although a young scorer, he plays the game like a 10-year veteran basketball player. It took him only his second season in the league to establish himself as one of the top players.

3.     Ben Simmons (Australia)
Another top NBA player we are expecting to influence the outcome of results is Ben Simmons. He became the only player in the history of the NBA to have averaged at least 16.0 points, 8.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and a field goal percentage above 57%.

4.     Nikola Jokic (Serbia)
There’s also Nikola Jokic, another top player who can palm a ball, execute passes, and rebounds with one hand. He has earned so many points due to his impressive footwork and soft basketball touch.

5.     Joel Embiid (Cameroon)
Despite taking his time to recover from an injury, Joel Embiid averaged 24.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game after he returned. He has also been of help to the 76ers and a great asset to the NBA.

6.     Jayson Tatum (USA)
Jayson Tatum is a three-time NBA All-Star who was named the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player in 2022. At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, he won a gold medal. Jayson Tatum has been a great asset to the NBA, and we are looking forward to what he’ll be doing this season.

7.     Rudy Gobert (France)
When you think of some of the NBA’s rim protectors, Rudy Gobert is one of them. He has won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award three consecutive times, tied for second-most in NBA history. He’s undoubtedly one of the players that’ll make an impression this season.

8.     Bojan Bogdanovic (Croatia)
Bojan stands out in whichever team he plays in. The Croatia talent has played in four teams since the beginning of his career. Currently, he averages just under 40% 3-point shooting for his career.

9.     Kevin Durant (USA)
Think of Durant when you think of NBA players with versatile skill sets, great shooting range, ability to finish plays at the free-throw line, and great use of athleticism. Certainly, Durant is the most potent scorer in the NBA, and as his numbers continue to stack, there’s even more to expect from him this season.

10.    Danilo Gallinari (Italy)
Danillo is the 6-foot-10 basketball athlete known for throwing power forward and has shot 38.2 percent from beyond the 3-point arc over a 13-year NBA career. Between 2021-2022, Danillo had a defensive rating of 116.5, making him one of the top NBA players.

11.    Andrew Wiggins (Canada)
One of the emerging NBA stars is Andrew Wiggins. He has shown his skills from being a player with Minnesota Timberwolves and even now as a player for the Warriors. Wiggins has become a more consistent defender and a good shooter of the basketball.
During the last regular season, Wiggins averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and 4.4 average per game in his career.
