August Athlete of the Month: Foluke Akinradewo (USA)

Foluke Akinradewo
The Canadian- born star middle blocker of the US Volleyball team was voted MVP at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix in Ningbo (China), which the US ladies won, defeating Brazil in the final.
A victory worth 300 GSN points, to which the 191 cm tall Foluke has contributed greatly.
Akinradewo, who holds a triple citizenship (Canada, Nigeria and the USA), has played club volleyball at Stanford University (California) but since 2009 has decided to concentrate on the US national team only, in order to have more time to complete her studies: the sciences, and human biology in particular, are her favourite subjects.
